Two late tries have guided the Warriors to a 24-14 NRL win over the Parramatta Eels in Sydney

Two late tries have guided the Warriors to a 24-14 NRL win over the Parramatta Eels in Sydney

    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

The Mount Smart trailed 14-12 in the second half before Jazz Tevaga and Issac Luke scored in quick succession to secure victory.

The Hurricanes have notched up their tenth consecutive win of the Super Rugby season.

They've beaten the Reds 38-34 in a tight encounter in Wellington.

'Canes winger Ben Lam crossed for two of their five tries.

Speculation Pete Samu is being blocked from playing for the Wallabies are being labelled as false.

Reports out of Australia suggest the Australian born Crusaders loose forward isn't being cleared by New Zealand Rugby to play for Australia against Ireland next month.

Samu is currently signed with both the Crusaders for Super Rugby, and Tasman for the Mitre 10 Cup for this year.

However a representative from his team says Samu's yet to make any further decisions on his future, with any reports not true.

Kiwi driver Earl Bamber has had the chance to test himself against the Supercars' best.

The two-time Le Mans 24-hour winner has set the eighth best time in the first official practice at Winton, Victoria, after being 10th fastest of the endurance co-drivers earlier this afternoon.

Bamber says it came as a surprise to be driving Shane van Gisbergen's car again.

Olympic silver medalist Sarah Walker headlines an 11-strong New Zealand squad for next month's BMX world championships in Azerbaijan.

Walker will be joined by Zoe Fleming and Rebecca Petch in the elite women's team, while Rio Olympian Trent Jones, 2016 junior world champion Maynard Peel and current national champion Cody Harris are the elite men's trio.

Jessie Smith and Baylee Luttrell make up the junior women's team with Cailen Calkin, Ryan Jordan and Luey Cotton the junior men.

The world champs begin on June the fifth.
