Duchess of Sussex designed bespoke bangle for new sister-in-law and six best friends as a wedding favour

The 36-year-old royal - who was known as Meghan Markle before she got married at the weekend - asked California-based jeweller Lisette Polny, founder of Zofia Day, to make the Solid Gold Disc Bracelet as a thank you gift for her loved ones

The former 'Suits' actress dished out the gifts to Catherine - who is married to Prince William - and Jessica Mulroney and Benita Litt after their children walked down the aisle with Meghan as bridesmaids and pageboys on her big day on May 19.

The brunette beauty approved the design for the delicate yellow gold trinket, titled The Kensington, and it is now available to buy for $450 (£335).

Lisette told People.com: "It's an overwhelming honour to be part of history and for my pieces to be given as a keepsake for this momentous occasion."

But it wasn't just the grown ups who received gifts as Meghan allowed the six young girls - who were her flower girls - wearing the white leather Aquazurra shoes, each monogrammed with their initials and the wedding date, to keep them as a present.

The whole world watched in awe last weekend when Meghan tied the knot with Prince Harry, 33, at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle, Windsor.

The romantic event - which was attended by the royal family and the likes of George Clooney and David Beckham - was streamed live around the world.

The happy couple have now released a statement via Kensington Palace's social media channels to show their gratitude to everyone who watched them get wed and the people who came to Windsor, England, to cheer them on.

The statement read: "The Duke and Duchess would like to thank everyone who took part in the celebrations of their wedding.

"They feel so lucky to have been able to share their day with all those gathered in Windsor and those who watched on television across the UK, Commonwealth and around the world."
