Aucklanders are running out of time to have their say on plans for the next America's Cup
28 May 2018
Submissions close today on a proposal to build America's Cup bases at the Wynyard Point and an extension to Hobson Wharf.
Auckland Council, Team New Zealand and the Government agreed on the plans in March.
Up to five bases will be built on the eastern side of Wynyard Point, and Hobson Wharf will be extended by 74 metres for a double base extension.
Team New Zealand would use the Viaduct Events Centre on Halsey Wharf as their base.
The Environment Court will make a final decision on the source consent in October.
