Former immigration minister Tuariki Delamere alleges police didn't have a search warrant when they raided an Auckland brothel in 2014.
Police say that isn't the case.
They say four officers visited the brothel and asked the operator to produce their certification as legally required under the Prostitution Reform Act.
They say the brothel operator couldn't be located, and no certificate was produced, which is an offence under the Act.
