Witnesses to a vicious dog attack have described seeing one rottweiler ripping at a terrified man's leg and another attacking his head

The Otago Daily Times reports the attack lasted at least five minutes and the victim now has extensive bite marks to his face.
The injured man, bleeding from the head, is tonight in Southland Hospital where he was taklen after the attack in Winton just before 1.30 this afternoon.
Police called to the scene caught one dog, and they still hunting for the other.
Police say members of the public chased the dogs away from the victim before helping him and calling emergency services.
The terrified man's screams could be heard during the 111 call.
Police would like anyone who sees a female Rottweiler on the loose Winton to call 111.
