England's captain has come to the rescue with a late winner in their football World Cup opener against Tunisia in Volgograd

England's captain has come to the rescue with a late winner in their football World Cup opener against Tunisia in Volgograd

Harry Kane has scored both goals, including an injury-time winner in the Three Lions 2-1 victory over the North Africans.

Kane is proud and says after all of the work in training they've done, it's good to chalk one up.

England squandered a wealth of opportunities throughout the match though.

They had 18 shots, of which eight were on goal, while they dominated with 61 percent of possession.

Earlier Belgium beat Panama 3-nil and Sweden edged South Korea 1-nil.
