Colombia's talisman is a doubtful starter for their football world cup opener against Japan tonight

Colombia's talisman is a doubtful starter for their football world cup opener against Japan tonight

The top goal scorer in Brazil 2014, James Rodriguez, has missed a training session due to muscle fatigue and his left calf has reportedly been troubling him.

Colombia coach Jose Pekerman says they're waiting to see what the doctors will say.

The game is scheduled to start at midnight New Zealand time.

Poland and Senegal will then be the last sides to open their campaigns at 3am, before Russia and Egypt square off in the first match of round two at 6am.
