Nurses pay negotiations have wrapped up for the week...with no definite outcome....meaning strike action is still on the table

District Health Boards are taking the weekend to prepare a response for the Nurses Organisation.

They're taking another shot at sorting out the dispute over pay rates and safe staffing levels.

If successful it could avoid strike action, which is planned for the start of July.

Whatever they come back with on Monday, it's unlikely there'll be more pay - Finance Minister Grant Robertson has said there's no more money in the bank.
