The all-rounder has turned down a domestic cricket contract with Northern Districts in favour of pursuing other T20 options around the world.
Devcich says the main reason for his decision is purely to fast track his development as a player.
He says his goal is to still play for the Black Caps and ND when possible, but he couldn't be on a domestic contract if he wanted to be playing in other parts.
Anton Devcich is currently looking at options in the Australian Big Bash League, but is yet to sign any contracts.
