A step to change the disproportionate amount of young Pasifika people exposed to family and sexual violence

A step to change the disproportionate amount of young Pasifika people exposed to family and sexual violence

A near-six-million-dollar national violence prevention programme to be delivered by ACC and Pasifika organisation, Le Va, launches today.

It's in a response to research showing Pacific children are three times more likely to be exposed to family violence.

ACC reveals they have higher rates assault claims lodged and their injuries from assault tend to be worse.

Research also suggests three quarters of all violence experienced in Pasifika communities isn't formally reported.
