A trial date's been set in the case of North Canterbury wine company accused of mislabelling its wines
13 July 2018
Southern Boundary Directors - Scott Berry, Rebecca Hope and Andrew Moore - have pleaded not guilty to more than 150 charges.
They include labelling wine as a certain vintage when the grapes came from another year - lying about where the wines came from and selling blended wines as coming from one vineyard.
The trio are also accused of hiding or destroying wine making records.
The High Court in Christchurch has set a trial date for July next year..
At an earlier appearance the lawyer for the directors requested a judge only trial due to the complex nature of the case.
