Vector is urging upper North Island residents to put outside furniture away ahead of stormy weather over the next couple of days

Vector is urging upper North Island residents to put outside furniture away ahead of stormy weather over the next couple of days

A low pressure system to the north of the country is set to bring heavy rain and severe easterly gales to the Auckland region tomorrow and Monday.

King tides will peak at three point seven metres at 8.30 tomorrow morning and again at 9 at night.

A Vector spokesperson says extra crews are on standby because the conditions could cause power disruptions.

Places like the Hauraki Gulf, Nelson, Marlborough and Bay of Plenty will also be exposed.
