First it was the library, now a public swimming pool has been immediately closed due to quake concerns

Hutt City Council last night announced it'd be closing the main Naenae pool due to engineering advice about how it would perform in an earthquake.

Mayor Ray Wallace says they're not legally required to close the building, but believe it's the right decision in the interests of public safety.

Last month the Wellington City Council decided to close the central library for the same reason.
