Richard Pusey's (POO-see) supposed mother, who did not wish to be named, read a statement to Melbourne 3AW radio, distancing them from his alleged involvement in the fatal crash on the Eastern Freeway on Wednesday.
She wanted to make clear the Porsche driver had been estranged from the family for some time.
Claiming the family had had their lives thrust into the spotlight, a statement read by the woman said the family shared the same feeling of devastation as the community at this time.
