An unprecedented cricket squad announcement for modern times

An unprecedented cricket squad announcement for modern times

Three separate Black Caps squads have been named to compete in this year's Twenty20 World Cup and four separate tours on the sub-continent.

New coaches have also been selected, including Wellington's Glenn Pocknall to ease the burden on Gary Stead.

New Zealand Cricket boss David White says the move centres on managing player and staff workloads.

The Swimming New Zealand contingent has returned from Tokyo satisfied with their performances in the pool.

A number of records were broken, personal bests set and finals made from the group spearheaded by Lewis Clareburt and secondary school student Erika Fairweather.

High performance manager Amanda White says they're pleased to see hard work pay off.

Pages will remain unturned for now in the next chapter of Barcelona striker Sergio Aguero's football career.

Aguero, who moved from Manchester City to the Catalan club in the off-season, will be sidelined for the next 10 weeks with a right calf injury.
