    The Maori king has accepted an invitation to become Patron of Starship Child Health - the country's largest child healthcare organisation


    The patronage was announced today at celebrations of the king's reign at Turangawaewae marae, attended by the Prime Minister and other MPs.

    Kiingitanga chief of staff Ngira Simmonds says during a recent visit to Starship Hospital, Kiingi Tuheitia was moved by the dedication of staff to protect and heal the children in their care.
