A 100-thousand-dollar reward to help police find those responsible for the murder of a fruitpicker, found dead in his tent near Nelson

Simon Bevers' body was found at Eden's Road Fruit orchard at Hope, on March 9 last year.

Tasman Police Detective Inspector Mark Chenery describes the 56-year-old as an upstanding member of the community, who'd lived overseas for a number of years before returning and picking fruit, which suited his lifestyle.

Several of his colleagues remain persons of interest -- including one who had Bevers' blood on it.

The reward, for material information or evidence, is in place until the end of May.
