A Wellington City Councillor is pouring cold water on Let's Get Wellington Moving's Golden Mile

It's part of the capital's 7.4 billion dollar transport plan -- proposing new infrastructure such as light rail and a second Mount Victoria Tunnel.

A fly through's been released previewing the Golden Mile project -- in which private vehicles will be removed between Courtenay Place and Lambton Quay - and cycling and walking will be improved.

Councillor Ray Chung says he has concerns.

He says the fly features no businesses -- which he jokingly questions could be the council forecasting they'll end up closing.
