A message to the Government from Dunedin City Council - it's not too late to stop Three Waters

The council has now finalised its submission on the Three Waters reforms and is urging the Government to explore other models to save ratepayers from future high costs.

Infrastructure Services Committee Chairman Jim O'Malley says the bill is flawed and the Government should reconsider its plans.

O'Malley says there's a risk people will end up paying significantly more for water services.

He adds although they do support water reform, they can't support transferring their community assets to a broken economic model.
