With Melbourne already locked in for the neutral venue match in 2024 and 2026 - the NRL has now confirmed the series will return to Perth for 2025 and 2028.
Speculation about State of Origin crossing the ditch intensified this week after The Daily Telegraph reported the NRL was in - quote, "serious discussions" - for New Zealand to host a game in 2025.
Last month, ARL Commission chair Peter V'landys told The Australian newspaper that a New Zealand was a possibility for as early as 2027.
