    Kiwi mountain-biker Sammie Maxwell can hardly believe what she's gone and done


    The national champion has produced a dominant display to ride away from the field and win under-23 cross-country gold at the World Championships in Scotland.

    Maxwell says it's an incredible feeling - after what she describes as a weird race.



    The mountain-bike programme finishes tomorrow with short-course world champ Sam Gaze joined by Anton Cooper and Ben Oliver in the elite men's long-course race.
