    A man has escaped without injury after being rescued from a cliff at Auckland's Piha Beach

    A man has escaped without injury after being rescued from a cliff at Auckland's Piha Beach


    A police helicopter located the man last night, about 15 metres down the 55 metre cliff on the Tasman Lookout Track.

    The track has been officially closed since May, due to storm damage.

    Fire and Emergency rescuers abseiled down to the man and were able to bring him to safety.
