Hawke's Bay Regional Council is adding additional GoBay bus services -- as it continues dealing with a bus driver shortage

As of today, it's adding eight additional services to the Napier-EIT section of Route 12 in the mornings and afternoons.

It's to accommodate school students following concerns being raised that students at a high school were being left with 45 minutes to kill at each end of the day due to timetable changes.

GoBay is currently seven drivers short and continues to work through ongoing driver availability issues.
