Addin Fonua-Blake will not be lost to the Warriors in 2024 after all, despite requesting an early release from his contract on compassionate grounds

The Dally M prop of the year wants to return to Sydney to live closer to family.

But the Warriors and Fonua-Blake have now agreed he'll stay in Auckland for one more NRL season.

Meanwhile All Blacks captain Sam Cane WILL be missing from the Chiefs ranks, next Super Rugby Pacific season.

Cane's taking a sabbatical to play in Japan, but will return for next year's international fixtures... and will rejoin the Chiefs in 2025.

Auckland golfer Nick Voke holds a one-stroke clubhouse lead, late in the second round of the Queensland PGA Championship.

Voke fired a sizzling 10-under-par 62 on the Nudgee course in Brisbane.
