Two men have been charged with stealing equipment from telecommunications sites in the Far North

    One also faces drug-offending charges.

Expensive equipment has been taken from cell phone towers and telecommunications exchanges, over the past 16 months.

Both men have been remanded in custody until further charges are ruled out - after appearing in Kaitaia District Court yesterday.
