Auckland businesses are thought to be holding out for the good times over summer

Mayor Wayne Brown says there will be plenty of things to take advantage of these holidays - from the ASB Tennis Classic to Movies in the Park.

He says businesses and restaurants are holding out for customers.

Brown says they want it to be better than the rest of the year, which has been disrupted by weather events.
