    The Seattle Seahawks' only Super Bowl winning coach has been removed from his role

    Pete Carroll has departed as head coach of the NFL franchise after 13 years - but will remain as an advisor to the Seahawks.

    Carroll coached the franchise to their Super Bowl win in 2014.



    The Seahawks finished with a nine-win, eight-loss record this season, failing to qualify for the playoffs which start on Sunday.
