Police investigating the homicide of a 53-year-old Hamilton man found in the Waikato River, are appealing for information

The body of John Isaac was found in the river near Ngaruawahia by members of the public last Thursday.

Police are continuing to piece together his movements in the lead up to his death -- and are appealing to anyone who may have seen or interacted with him in the days before his death.

Officers also want to hear from anyone who saw unusual activity near the river at any of the bridges between Hamilton and Ngaruawahia on Thursday afternoon.

Anyone who may have been recording recreational activities or taken photos should contact police.
