    Australian Rugby League Commission boss Peter V'Landys has taken a jab at Wayne Bennett's interest in succeeding Michael Maguire as Kiwis coach

    League coaching legend Bennett has shifted his preliminary interest into a formal application - with New Zealand Rugby League chief executive Greg Peters confirming as such yesterday.

    Speaking to The Rush Hour on Triple M radio - V'landys - perhaps tongue somewhat in cheek - offered his thoughts on the news.



    New Zealand Rugby League have been quick to respond - posting on social media to remind V'Landys of the Kiwis 30-nil Pacific Cup win over the Kangaroos last year.
