    Golfing history has been made in Bogota , Colombia


    Cristobal Del Solar has shot a 13-under par 57 during the opening round of the latest Korn Ferry Tour event.

    No-one in the professional game has shot that figure on a par-70 layout, and the score is the lowest in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event.

    However, the figure has allegedly been bettered in the amateur ranks.

    Former North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il, according to state media, shot a 38-under par round of 34 in his first outing in the sport.

    His 1994 effort on the championship course in Pyongyang featured 11 holes-in-one.
