Fire stations in Wellington are considering portable water supply dams, as they prepare for a water shortage

Fire and emergency New Zealand says it'll continue to respond to incidents ,regardless of water restrictions.
Crews may use sea water to extinguish future blazes, like they did at the Shelly Bay fire last night.
Teams are also considering re-purposing tankers to the region and reducing training that uses reticulated water.
