The Wellington Phoenix men have a 1-nil lead over Adelaide United early in the second half of their A-League encounter in the Capital

Ben Old scored for the Nix in the 34th minute.

It's been a depressing day for the Phoenix women...losing 5-3 to the Melbourne Victory across the Tasman.

The Nix women have had a dismal run this side of Christmas, winning just one of seven matches.
