A new mental health service is being piloted in four hospital emergency departments from July

It's hoped the peer support service will improve outcomes for those seeking crisis support -- and cut down clinical staff's workloads.
Mental Health Minister, Matt Doocey says peer-support workers only make up five-percent of the mental health workforce.
He says they want to grow that, because the role can make a huge difference to those in severe mental distress.
