Simon Cowell has adopted another puppy just months after he brought home a new German Shepherd called Pebbles

The 64-year-old TV star is now a proud doggy dad to six pooches after welcoming a black and white Chihuahua into the family with Simon showing off the new addition in a series of pictures posted on Instagram

He wrote: "I've just fallen in love."

Simon didn't reveal the new pooches name. The Chihuahua joins German Shepherd puppy Pebbles, who Simon shared pictures of for the first time in January.

The 'Britain's Got Talent' judge and his partner Lauren Silverman also have two Yorkshire terriers named Squiddly and Diddly and adopted pooch Daisy - who was brought home from Barbados - while Simon also took in his mum's dog Freddy following her death in 2015.

Simon is a dedicated dog-lover and has a long history of supporting animal charities.

He previously admitted he loved his dogs so much, he would considering cloning them so he would never have to be without them.

Simon told The Sun On Sunday newspaper: "I am 100 per cent cloning the dogs, all of them. We've thoroughly looked into it, got all the details and I can prove to you I'm going to clone them. There is documentation.

"I am doing it because I cannot bear the thought of them not being around. I might actually do it sooner rather than later, which will mean we have six dogs running around. It doesn't hurt them. It's like a swab, a DNA thing. "I cannot imagine Squiddly, Diddly and Freddy not being around, so this is the solution."

It was also previously reported Simon has allocated a huge slice of his fortune to go to animal charities after his death. He's believed to have made a will which includes substantial donations to causes he cares about including Dogs Trust, K9 in Barbados, and London's Battersea Dogs Home.

He told Glamour magazine: "I have always loved dogs but had no idea how much happiness they would bring to my life. [My dogs] are hugely important members of my family - and even the thought of any dog being mistreated sickens me."
