Associate Finance Minister David Seymour says the Government is committed to "moderate" minimum wage increases

Associate Finance Minister David Seymour says the Government is committed to "moderate" minimum wage increases

The minimum wage increases two-percent today, to 23-dollars-15 an hour.

The Family tax credit, Best Start tax credit and Job Seeker Support benefit are also increasing.

Seymour says the last Government made significant minimum wage increases -- from 15-dollars-75 in 2016.

He says inflation's gone up by 25 percent in that period and minimum wage has increased by almost twice that much.
