A bar on Auckland's Wynyard Quarter fears it's revenue will drop 40 to 50 percent thanks to the busted footbridge

A bar on Auckland's Wynyard Quarter fears it's revenue will drop 40 to 50 percent thanks to the busted footbridge

The Wynyard crossing bridge will undergo a full overhaul of old parts after it suffered technical faults late last year - forcing it to close until late this year.

It means accessing the area from the Viaduct now takes upwards of 20 minutes, as opposed to around 20 seconds.

Local bar Wynyard Pavilion's general manager Alex Pearson says he's sceptical of Eke Panuku's temporary solution of signposting.

He doubts adding signs will do much, as you have to give people more of a push to go there.
