The Children's Minister may find out today if she can be summoned to front the Waitangi Tribunal

Government's lawyers have challenged Karen Chhour's summons to the body, over plans to remove certain Treaty provisions in the Oranga Tamariki act.

If Justice Andru Isac today rules the summons is lawful, Chhour cannot ignore it without being liable for a criminal conviction and a fine of up to a thousand dollars.
