Frustration on both sides of the Pacific, amid the Government's trade dispute with Canada

Frustration on both sides of the Pacific, amid the Government's trade dispute with Canada

Our Government says Canada's refusing to comply with a ruling over dairy trade, where it breached CPTPP rules by blocking exporters' access to its market.

The Dairy Companies Association says it will be engaging with ministers and officials during the Trade Minister's legal action.

Executive director Kimberly Crawford says there is also some sympathy from Canadian counterparts.

She says Canada's import association for companies wanting to bring in dairy products are as equally disappointed as they are.
