A King's Council who complained about tikanga Maori being made compulsory in law studies, is hopeful a Government committee listens to his concerns

But Gary Judd KC says the new requirement is "symptomatic of a dangerous trend".

Judd says he hopes the Government's Regulations Review Committee doesn't bin his complaint.

He thinks many people will agree with his concerns - and one of them is Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters.

    He calls tikanga, cultural indoctrination.
