    Facebook New Zealand's reporting a rise in profit -- which is a fraction of the amount it paid to its Irish arm, over the same period


    Many tech multinationals have subsidiaries in Ireland, which has a comparatively low corporate tax rate on trading income.

    Facebook's New Zealand annual revenue to December was just over nine-million-dollars, with total comprehensive after-tax income topping three-million.

    Its payments to sister company Meta Platform Ireland - were at 157-million-dollars.
