    Kiwis captain James Fisher-Harris believes a well-supported transtasman double-header in Christchurch could force the NRL's hand in adding a South Island team to the competition

    The Kiwis and Kiwi Ferns will open their Pacific Championship campaigns in the Garden City on October 27.

    Two separate Christchurch groups are looking at submitting a bid for an NRL licence as part of the club competition's expansion plan.

    Fisher-Harris says a packed Apollo Projects Stadium would help the cause.
