Secrecy surrounds details of YouTube's launch of NZ version today

A New Zealand version of the popular video sharing website YouTube is being launched today.
It will feature a localised homepage and search functions.
Members of the VIP online community have been invited to the launch of the website in Auckland this afternoon.
YouTube's owner, Google is keeping the details under wraps but it is expected the New Zealand version will be run from a local server, giving users faster download speeds. The site is likely to feature local search options, giving wannabe Kiwi web stars a better chance of being discovered.
