Tuesday : Easterly 20 knots, becoming westerly 15 knots but southeast 30 knots south of East Cape in the morning. Becoming northerly 15 knots north of Mahia in the evening. Sea becoming rough for a time. Long period southwest swell 1 metre. Northeast swell rising to 2 metres but to 3 metres south of East Cape. Poor visibility in rain. Possible morning thunderstorms north of East Cape, then north of Mahia in the afternoon. Outlook following 3 days: Wednesday: Southeast 35 knots but northwest 15 knots north of Cape Kidnappers. Becoming southeast 25 knots everywhere in the morning. Very rough sea easing. Moderate easterly swell. Moderate southerly swell developing.
