Joey King's relationship "hasn't changed much" since she got married

The 24-year-old actress tied the knot with her 'We Were the Lucky Ones' co-star Steven Piet in September 2023 after five years of dating and explained that things have pretty much stayed the same because they lived together before saying their vows, but has found that things are just "sweeter" overall

    28 March 2024
She told US TV show 'Extra': "The funny thing is... not much has [changed] 'cause we already lived together before we got married... I have to say, like, everything's just, like, a little bit, like, sweeter... Everything just feels sweeter. "Your day to day doesn't really change that much, but there is, like, a feeling about it that is different and it's, like, a really lovely feeling. "

The 'Kissing Booth' star also noted that she hasn't really "learned" anything new since the wedding, but believes that if she had discovered something unknown about her now-husband, that wouldn't bode well in terms of being married to begin with.

The couple met when Steven directed two episodes of Joey's series 'The Act' and they got engaged in February 2022.

Announcing their engagement, Joey wrote on Instagram at the time: "I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lungs, overwhelming every part of you that you can't help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy. I never knew that a persons presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful."

"In terms of things of learned, well, it'd be kind of bad if we learned something super new about each other but is pretty gravy baby."
