The 683-million-dollar roofed stadium is due to open in mid-2026.
Venues Otautahi is estimating Te Kaha will bring in 50-million-dollars a year, across 200 events, including concerts, sporting and business bookings.
Chief executive Caroline Harvie-Teare says the forecasting is about more than just hundreds of thousands of visitors from out of town coming to the region, spending money.
She says 80 percent of food and beverage is sourced from within the region, and more than 70 percent of contractors and suppliers are from within Canterbury.
