Remainder of the North Island Scattered morning showers clearing then mainly fine.
Nelson and Buller Showers, some heavy and possibly thundery.
Marlborough A period of rain at first, then mainly fine from late morning, but showers remaining about the Sounds.
Westland Rain clearing this morning, but returning to the north by evening.
Canterbury and eastern Otago Scattered rain becoming confined to eastern Otago this morning with fine spells elsewhere.
The remainder of Otago, Southland and Fiordland Scattered rain.
Chatham Islands Cloudy. Rain developing this afternoon.
