    Johnny Depp for Beatles biopic?

Liam Gallagher has revealed he is hoping to persuade Johnny Depp to star in his Beatles biopic as the band’s long time publicist Derek Taylor.

Liam Gallagher wants Johnny Depp for his biopic of the Beatles.

The Beady Eye frontman is currently producing a movie based on the Liverpool band’s company Apple Corps, from Richard DiLello’s book ‘The Longest Cocktail Party’ and revealed he would love for the 47-year-old actor to take on the role of Derek Taylor, the band’s long time publicist.

Liam told Q magazine:"Derek Taylor was a dude. He's up there with Lennon.

"The film script is done. It's gonna blow people's minds, man. I'm just waiting to find out when we choose the actors.

"I want Johnny Depp to play Derek Taylor. It's got Johnny Depp written all over it, man."

‘Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides’ star Johnny became friendly with Liam and his brother Noel in the 1990s when he was dating British model Kate Moss and they were in the band Oasis and as he has collaborated on one of their tracks before, Liam could persuade him to take on the role of Taylor.

Liam announced the project at last year’s Cannes Film Festival in partnership with Revolution Films, revealing it traces the band's journey from their 1967 heyday to their demise in 1970.
