Bob Hoskins to play Snow White dwarf

Bob Hoskins has signed up to play blind dwarf Constantine in 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.

Bob Hoskins has signed up to play a dwarf in 'Snow White and the Huntsman'.

The 'Made In Dagenham' actor will portray Constantine, a blind dwarf who will assist Snow White, to be played by 'Twilight' star Kristen Stewart, as her evil stepmother (Charlize Theron) attempts to have her killed.

Eddie Izzard, Eddie Marsan, Toby Jones and Stephen Graham are all also believed to be in negotiations to play the remaining dwarves.

'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' actor Ian McShane recently signed up to play dwarf leader Caesar in the upcoming movie.

Directed by Rupert Sanders and penned by Evan Spiliotopoulos, 'Snow White and the Huntsman' – a modern take on the classic tale – will also star 'Thor' actor Chris Hemsworth, who will portray the Huntsman originally tasked with slaying Snow White.

However, instead of following the evil stepmother's directions to kill her, he eventually trains her to survive the ordeal and fight back.

With filming due to begin in August, the movie will hit cinemas just a few months after Tarsem Singh's interpretation of the same tale, 'Untitled Snow White'.
