Zoe Saldana's home has been broken into

The 'Avatar' star returned to her Los Angeles house on Sunday (11.03.12) and noticed her abode had been tampered with so she immediately called the Los Angeles Police Department, law enforcement sources have told gossip website TMZ.com.

Zoe has taken an inventory of the property to make sure nothing has been taken as it was not clear initially whether the thieves had taken anything from her home.

An investigation into the break-in is ongoing.

The 33-year-old actress is not the only big-name star to have had her house broken in to recently.

'Spider-Man' actor Willem Dafoe's top-floor apartment was robbed by cat burglars last year.

The thieves used ropes and mountain-climbing equipment to lower themselves from the roof and into his flat, and a representative of the star later claimed around $3,000 worth of goods was taken from the property in Rome, Italy.

Keira Knightley also once had two laptop computers stolen from her luxury London apartment after thieves entered through a faulty communal door.
