Javier Bardem receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

Javier Bardem became the latest celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (08.11.12).

The 'Skyfall' actor - who is married to fellow Spanish star Penelope Cruz with whom he shares 20-month-old son Leo - was joined by his 'James Bond' director Sam Mendes as well as fellow castmates Naomie Harris and Berenice Marlohe at the ceremony where the modest 43-year-old actor allegedly admitted he was "so embarrassed" to be honoured with the prestigious accolade.

According to E! News, Javier's acceptance speech was full of humour and he even poked fun at his broken nose which he reportedly received in a bar fight several years ago.

The Oscar winning actor said: "Javier Bardem Day. That's so cool. And what's that like? Does everyone have to walk with a broken nose around Hollywood Boulevard?"

Javier follows in the footsteps of his beautiful wife of more than two years Penelope, who received her Hollywood star in April 2011, but was not present at her husband's ceremony.

The 38-year-old actress was presented with her honour from her 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides' co-star Johnny Depp.

Javier's star is located in front of the El Capitan Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard.
